When going through Germany's most promising up and coming drummers, there is no way not to mention Max Hofmann.
Originating from the south-west of Germany, Max began to follow his enthusiasm for music early in his life. Besides taking drum lessons as a teenager he became a junior student of Jazz Drums at the University of Music Saarbrücken while he was still in school. The next major stop of his musical education was at BfSM Dinkelsbühl where world renowned artist Claus Hessler became his teacher and mentor. This phase can easily be described as the most influential part of his path to becoming a professional musician himself. After finishing his education in Dinkelsbühl, Max went on to attend the Popkurs in Hamburg and go on to study at Popakademie Baden-Württemberg in Mannheim. During this time he had the chance to learn from drummers such as Jost Nickel, Udo Dahmen and Anika Nilles. Dom Famularo once stated: „Max is definitely the next generation of great drummers!“
Besides working on his own band projects, Max is busy working with numerous acts as a sideman and gained national and international touring experience in various contexts.
